Romy Titus

Romy Titus is recognised as one of the world’s leading sports Journalists in the world by the Laureus Sports Foundation for her contribution in sport.

She is one of the few female sports journalists in South Africa specialising in football, as she tracks the Premier Soccer League on SABC as well as the National First Division. She beams live into millions of homes interviewing coaches, players and various VIP’s from the soccer fraternity on the latest news hot off the pitch. Romy’s impressive career spans almost 2 decades and has given her the opportunity to work at every broadcasting house in the country. 

When Romy is not behind the mic, she advocates for children’s rights through her organisation ‘Babies Behind Bars’, which has earned her a Mandela Washington Fellowship initiated by former US President Barack Obama. In addition she has also won a Community Hero Award from beauty house Elizabeth Arden, 100 Young Leaders from Independent Newspapers. Her accolades include being an Ubuntu Award recipient as well as a Paul Harris Fellowship awarded by Rotary South Africa.
